'The Kiss’ by Gustav Klimt was painted between 1907-1908 during the height of what scholars call his ‘Golden Period’ in which a number of his artworks were inspired by Byzantine imagery and mosaics. This print features the top section of the painting which depicts a couple embracing, their bodies entwined in elaborately decorated robes against a golf leaf background.
